Senior Internal Communications Manager
The Senior Internal Communications Manager will lead Davies’ global employee engagement programmes and internal communications platforms; oversee internal communications for our Shared Services function and M&A project related internal communications for Davies globally.
Supporting & managing a small, global team based across the UK, U.S. & India, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of internal communications activity across our growing shared services locations. The role also ensures delivery of effective employee engagement initiatives for newly acquired businesses, ensuring communications plans engage new employees in the Davies brand, values and company-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the global internal communications calendar, working closely with the wider internal communications team to ensure all communications are brought together, incorporated into one single plan and scheduled to maximise employee engagement.
- Lead the technology and channel strategy for internal communications, working closely with the wider internal communications team to define effective channel strategies meeting the needs of Davies’ diverse, internal audience.
- Produce quarterly reports on the effectiveness of the organisation’s internal communications channels, approaches and technology, making data-driven recommendations.
- Work with procurement, HR & IT teams to oversee and ensure we make the most of all internal communications suppliers, including our intranet, email communications and other platforms used to boost employee engagement.
- Oversee the management and delivery of all internal communications related to integration of acquired businesses. Providing insights and ideas on how to engage and integrate new colleagues with the Davies culture and values.
- Oversee the management and delivery of all internal communications activity within Davies’ global shared services function.
- Plan, develop and oversee the delivery of Davies’ global employee engagement initiatives, including an internal TV show and other global employee engagement initiatives.
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with leadership teams and colleagues at all levels throughout the organisation.
- Bring together and oversee the delivery of a bi-monthly leadership communications, bringing together business & project updates, developments of new solutions/services and technology.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Degree level education or equivalent level experience
- Experience of leading business change or integration projects
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a global internal communications department
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to make complex issues easily digestible
- Experience in implementing new technology within large organisations
- Ability to advise and influence stakeholders of all levels
- Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize
